Guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and metaphylaxis of urolithiasis

The Urinary Stones Working Group of the Academy of German Urologists, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie e. V. [German Society of Urology], and the Berufsverband der Deutschen Urologen e. V. [Professional Association of German Urologists], under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Knoll, have re-issued the S2k Guideline for the diagnosis, treatment, and metaphylaxis of urolithiasis.

Urinary stones are increasingly among the most common urological disorders. The new guideline is intended to provide support for the treatment of patients with urolithiasis in hospital and private practice settings. It includes current developments in imaging diagnostics and intervention.
