Hydrogel method

For the safe and effective recovery of stone fragments.

The innovative mediNiK® hydrogel method is a two-component gel for endoscopic removal of kidney stone fragments. It encloses the smallest kidney stone fragments (< 1 mm) and thus ensures effective retrieval of stone fragments. With flexible URS, residual fragments can be embedded within a short time and removed using the gripping methods used.

mediNiK® consists of two components in ready-to-use, sterile Luer syringes. The two components of the hydrogel are injected one after the other into the stone load via the working channel of the endoscope. mediNiK® encloses even the smallest fragments and forms a soft gel within a short time after injection of the second component, which can be retrieved with the aid of an endoscopic stone retrieval basket. In this way, the smallest kidney stone fragments, also known as stone grit, can be removed from the kidney with just a few retrieval attempts.

The innovative hydrogel method is a two-component gel for the endoscopic removal of kidney stone fragments. It encloses the smallest kidney stone fragments (< 1 mm) and thus ensures effective retrieval of stone fragments. mediNiK® medical hydrogel, which is used in flexible URS, embeds the residual fragments within a short time, allowing residual fragments to be removed by the grasping methods used in flexible URS.
